Third dimension implicates self-identification, as squeezing the infinite energy of consciousness association into the moulding of finite dimension projection must subjugate faceted conscious view which embraces belief of third dimension as real unto itself.  Self-identifying with your third dimension bodily-housed being places you in a conscious place where you can actually buy into the concept that the third dimension 'reality' is the totality of existence.  However, this is merely a projection for the experiential transmission's sake, and your awareness is infinitely capable.  It is available to your will of consciousness to be observant of your third dimension 'reality' whilst remaining of vast infinite dimension awareness.  You need merely seek to do such.  You know this is the way it is.  Because it is, you must know it, and you must introduce the invocation of your knowing, amidst the third dimension experiential endeavoring.  Doing this, you simply become aware of the awareness within your small-minded awareness, which is there in the background all of the time.  You can see that your emotive experiential sensoring which is sought through your third dimension self is proliferant from your infinite self.  From third dimension, you are in a place of having squeezed out the energetic infinite, and hence the energy which generates the high-level mind states you seek.  You thus become accustomed to going on a treasure hunt for feelings such as joy and bliss.  Your achievement of brief interludes of such mind states is appreciated through your contrasting excursion in the course of bringing them into experience.  As your awareness of your deeper self attunes, you see that such mind states are the energy of which you really are constituted, and you actually will leverage the impulsive tendency of third dimension being to seek such mind states as a means of bringing awareness to the process of self-identification with third dimension being, thus taking you into deeper awareness of your deeper self.  Remember this, your deeper self does not need to seek joy and bliss.  Your deeper self is constituted of the energy of these, which third dimension self experiences through contrast.  Assuming this understanding places you in direct symbiotic confluence with your infinite being.  You are thus able to use your tendency to seek higher mind states from a contrasting place of third dimension lowlife awareness as a trigger to remind you to place your awareness attentively within your deeper self.
Your natural tendency, especially when amidst some sensorial intensity, such as physical pain or emotional disturbance, is to be fully scoped into attention on the intenseness of the presently state of being.  There is nothing calling your attention to awareness of the deeper expansion of your self.  This is much analogous to, physically, when you are going about doing things, walking along the street or operating machinery or fixing something to eat, and the sun is shining or the rain is falling.  You can become aware of the sun shining or the rain falling whilst doing things.  They make it easy because the sun's light triggers your light sensors, and the rain falling triggers your sound and/or touch sensors.  Yet it is still possible for you to be so intently focused that your awareness tunes out the presence of the sun or the rain for a time.  Your deeper consciousness of self is analogous to the sun or the rain, in the background to the focus of your physical or emotional or mental state, which is analogous to what you are doing whilst the sun is shining or the rain is falling.  However, there is not an automatic sensor trigger to call your attention to your deeper self of consciousness.  This is why you must make the connection on your own will.  You must directly strive to be aware of this subtleness.  It is just like the sun/rain metaphor in some ways.  Whilst doing things, you can intermittently become aware of ths sun or the rain and pay attention to it, and then go back to focus on what you are doing.  At times you can become so absorbed that your awareness isn't touching on the sun or the rain for a time.  Doing this for a while, you can get into a balanced sweet spot of continuing to do things with apt focus and also maintain conscious awareness of the sun of the rain.  If you will make a practice of noticing your awareness of deeper self, and go back and forth at your leisure, and do this for a while, you will begin to notice that your presence of awareness of deeper self continues on and doesn't blank out so much anymore.  When this begins to happen, so too has your tightness of self-identification begun to loosen, and your relationship with your third dimension being and its environment becomes of a nature of mastery rather than reactive response.
Make awareness of your deeper self.  This is of a passive nature.  You start by knowing it is there, and allowing its presence to emerge.  Your connection of awareness with the sun rising starts with you knowing it is happening, through some form of transmission of light usually.  You don't force the awareness of the sun into your awareness.  You can deliberately get your attention to focus on your light sensors and thus open an easier path to awareness, but the awareness must dawn into your conscious.  So too is it with your deeper conscious self awareness.  You know it.  Your knowing is the focusing anchor for your conscious mind to bring attention to it.  The knowing here is more critical because there is not a sensorial deliberation which takes you easily into knowing.  It is softer vibration in the background of the dense of your encompassment.  So this is why your effort is a necessary part.  You must make the initiative to realize the knowing, and all the while as you are undergoing such commanding sensorial experiences on the physical plane.  You have to believe in the path of this to the point where you will make it habitual to do it.
Many of your meditation practices will take you into deeper self awareness.  You learn to attent to the breathing, and your awareness heightens as to how your breathing can be autonomous and you can watch, and how it can be deliberate and you can take control.  You learn to watch your thoughts rather than to be of a nature to see them as consuming you.  Gradually you gain deeper awareness of your deeper self, and as time goes on, this awareness becomes an integral part of your being.
However, you do not need to sit for an hour a day, or for days at a time to cultivate deeper conscious self awareness.  You can do this at any time, amidst anything that is going on in your third dimension world.  It is your conscious mind and it is your choice how to direct your mental energy of consciousness.
We speak of knowing as your sensorial dimension of initiation of drawing your attention to presence of your higher dimensional self of conscious.  Knowing itself is multidimensional.  Knowing, from a place of precedence to experience or familiarity, assumes dimensions of wonder and imagining.  You may simply attend into yourself with such questions as "What else is there?  What is my true essence?".  Asking, wondering, and leaving open your receptiveness, takes you onto the dimensions of experiential knowing.  You will then allow your awareness to perceive, and indeed gain a palpable sense of the deeper self of you that is there all the while, whilst you are undergoing self-identification with your third dimension being.  As you've progressed and had some experience feeling your deeper self, you now have memories and experiences upon which to draw, and these rapidly take you to a place of knowing.
As your experience with deeper self emerges, your understanding of its vastness becomes vast and you become in a state of knowing of this realm, its feel, its vibration, and you will then readily be able to discern the vibration of this realm from the loudness of the physical dimension and its vibrations.
You will also find that knowing presence of your deep conscious self, and heightening it into your awareness field, is a passive action.  Rather than asserting yourself into knowingness, you simply must loosen your attentive focus on the third dimension self-identification and related presentation of third dimension vibration states, and this directly places you into realm of awareness of conscious deep self knowing.
Your self-identification with your physical nature, which is vaporous, can be disconcerting, as your nerve centers generate vibration which resonates the integral of physical density with conscious interpretation.  Vaporization of your self-identified physical projection necessitates usually nerve center responses that alter your attentive span into the physical itself, and directs you into solidarity in focus of your physical projection.  This process takes you out of awareness with your deeper self.  Thus, we intend to work directly, vibratively, with your nerve centers themselves.  Energetic nerve centers.
Your physical nerve centers provoke physical feeling, and yet are in essence energy, and your feeling states must be approached with intentional understanding of the energetic nature of the transmission medium which generates your feeling states.  Feeling and allowing your attention to expand into the awareness of the depth of the feeling states themselves gains you the insight of the vibration in pureness of your nerve center generation of feeling states.  Your energetic center, your energetic essence of nerve center, in turn, crystallizes into physical nerve tissue.  You thus approach your transition into physical state as in its energetic form, and conduct your awareness into crystallization of the energetic vibration form into perception of feeling, in integration with your nervous centers of physicalness.
So you can go back and forth.  Take your physical feeling vibration into expanded self.  Take your deeper essence energy, beyond physical feeling, into feeling and physical integration.  This is how you bring thinner energy, such as thought, into denser form.  Try some of this and see how it leads you.
